Second project was introduced in class today. We were told that we’d be making “wear-ables” that assists or inhibits a certain point of contact that occurs between two people. These point of contact could be anything from gestures of greeting someone to martial arts.
We listed 5 such actions in pairs, Akanksha being my partner in this project. We listed foot on toes/stomping (inhibit) , head resting on the shoulder (assist), hand on waist to give way (inhibit), chin on the head of another person (assist), griping someone’s bicep (assist).
We tried listing things that happen to us on a regular basis and not something imaginary.
We then took pictures of these gestures from every angle possible. It was quite interesting as to think about a wearable item for the same gestures. This project is going to be fun I believe so.
